Client Request
Babcock approached us needing some new Health and Safety signage for their workshops. The client specified that the signs must be magnetic, wipeable with a whiteboard marker and have some form of edging around the signs, as well as numerous other properties to meet the spec.
Process

Firstly we worked along side the client and listened closely to create a design that suited their requirements.
To meet the clients needs for the signs being magnetic, we used steel composite material, we coupled this with a dry-wipe lamination – meaning the entire sign could be written on and wiped off when needed.
For this project there were x20 boards, x2 kinds – x10 Safety Station boards & x10 Safety Notice boards – The signs were 1990 x 1220mm.
The safety station signs included a key-lock first-aid cabinet, an emergency eye wash station, as well as some Perspex document holders.
The safety notice boards where designed for the customer to be able to write their own messages, as well as having some safety critical sections such as ‘Fire muster point’, ‘What to do in the event of a fire’, ‘Your nearest fire marshal’ – and so on.
All x20 signs where drilled and supplied with heavy duty concrete screws and white caps.
Finally we added a white PVC trim around all the signage, this was to prevent workers jackets getting snagged on the edge of the sign, the bonus was it gave the signs a lovely finish too.
